The Chief Judge and Court Clerk administer the Court, with the assistance of court staff. The Court's objective is to guarantee that all matters before it are resolved quickly and fairly, and that all Court users have easy access to the Court.
Within the city limits of Braswell, the Municipal Court has jurisdiction over traffic offenses, state law infractions, and local ordinance offenses. If your case occurred outside of the municipal borders of Braswell, please contact the Paulding or Polk County Courts.
Court Information
Municipal courts are the most common type of court in Georgia, handling almost a million cases each year. It is our mission to observe every person's right to due process even during our recovery form COVID 19. Although masks and face coverings are optional at this time you should also self screen for any symptoms prior to coming to court.
Screening process for individuals (including staff) before entering the building:
Individuals should self-screen for COVID-related symptoms. If any of the following apply within 48 hours prior to entry into the building, you are not to enter the building:
- fever of 100.0 or above
- Cough, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing
- Fatigue, muscle, or body aches
- Headache, new loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat, congestion, or runny nose
- Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
- If you or anyone in your household has experienced symptoms of COVID-19, have tested positive, or are awaiting test results within the last 14 days.
